| Las Vegas Academy |
315 S. 7th St. Las Vegas, 89101 Several differences exist between the Las Vegas Academy and conventional high schools. In order to attend to Academy, a student must choose and successfully audition for a major. Also, conventional high schools have six periods a day spread out over six hours. However, the Academy student spends seven hours a day, attending eight periods. Those extra two periods, called 'blocks' , are spent the student's 'major'.
